steps to take to become a volunteer
- You write a letter or email with your reasons for wanting to volunteer at the FPW, including a curriculum so that the organization can evaluate where you would feel more comfortable with the training or knowledge that you possess.
- When the organizations gets your information, they call you and ask you for an interview in person (if you will be volunteering in person or via phone (if you will be volunteering online) in which you explain your motivations, your time available and your preferences, the organization explains the way they work, their area, their dedication to their users, etc.
- At the moment, or later, you make the decision to become a volunteer (in person or online) you sign the Volunteer Agreement.
- They let you know your rights and duties and they introduce you to the responsible person in your area, the activity or program that you will be collaborating in, so that person can get you up to date more specifically about you will be working in.
- You receive your accreditation
- A insurance is taken out that will cover any risks of accident in the development of your volunteer services…
…Now you are a volunteer… The only thing left is get training in gender and in whatever activity you will be working in at FWP, but we take care of that.
