national volunteering Congress
Since 1997, the department for work and social affairs together with the department for education, social politics and sport, have organised the national volunteering congress in different regions.
Once a year, these congresses (under the theme related to that time), are developed in two very different sections:
1-Training, ideas and theory interchange which are explained through presentations, round tables, experience sessions, etc…
2-Meeting up and presentation, where the most relevant ONG’s (non government charity organisations), display their information stands to promote their voluntary activities.

Galicia’s Xunta (government) has just started the necessary preparations for Galicia to hold the XIV National voluntary congress, which will take part in La Coruna, an initiative taken from the specific program developed by this region’s administration due to the European Voluntary Year.
Ovidio Rodeiro, Xuventude general director met with Juan Carlos Mato, Social Politics general director from Central Government, to begin the Congress organisation.
This meeting was also attended byLuciano Poyato, National Voluntary platform president, as well as others.
